ANGELS LANDING DESIGN COMPETITION

ANGELS LANDING DESIGN COMPETITION

Client City of Los Angeles
Location DTLA

Angels Landing, a 1.28 million square foot mixed used development, is envisioned to be Los Angeles’ premiere urban innovation campus.  Lowe Enterprises, Cisneros-Miramonte, the City of Los Angeles, and UCLA are negotiating an agreement to bring a premier institution of higher learning into the heart of DTLA.

RELM’s 1.75 acre landscape resolves significant grade changes, revitalizes a transit plaza, connects Cal Plaza with the new academic and cultural buildings, and celebrates its adjacency to Angles Flight--a historic and newly reopened funicular railway.  The signature open space, Victoria Commons, is an expansive open air plaza connecting Cal Plaza, Angles Flight and terraces from the museum and academic/housing buildings some one hundred feet above Hill Street.
